Ghezal Atelier is an online shop based in Kabul, Afghanistan, dedicated to empowering Afghan women by helping them share their beautiful, handmade products with the world.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to support women in Afghanistan during one of the most challenging times in our country’s history. We are not profit-oriented. Every item sold through Ghezal Atelier directly supports the women artisans who create them—helping them earn an income, live with dignity, and provide for their families.

Many Afghan women today face severe restrictions and limited opportunities. Despite this, they continue to create stunning handcrafts—woven textiles, embroidery, jewelry, pottery, and more—each piece reflecting rich Afghan culture and resilience. We believe their talent deserves a global stage.

History of Beginning

Ghezal Atelier was born out of deep pain, resilience, and hope.

After the collapse of the Afghan government in 2021, and following more than 20 years of war, thousands of women across Afghanistan were left without husbands, brothers, or sons. Many are now the sole caregivers for their children—living under extreme hardship, without income, support, or even basic daily necessities like food.

In this difficult time, we created Ghezal Atelier as a lifeline. Our goal is simple but urgent: to help these women rebuild their lives through their own skills and creativity. With your support, we provide them with equipment and materials so they can produce beautiful handmade crafts from their homes—textiles, embroidery, jewelry, and other traditional Afghan art.

We help them sell their work around the world, ensuring that 100% of the profit goes directly to the women themselves. Every purchase helps a mother feed her children, send them to school, and live with dignity.
